No. 23 Missouri routed Louisiana 52-10 last Saturday behind an impressive performance from running back Ahmad Hardy. The sophomore sensation rushed for 250 yards and 3 touchdowns during the Week 3 blowout.

Barstool Sports’ Jon Gruden was effusive in his praise of Hardy’s showing. The Super Bowl champion coach explains what stands out to him about Hardy and compares him to a former Missouri running back stud.

“My goodness…He forces 13 missed tackles, man. This guy is unbelievable…Head coach Eli Drinkwitz, all he talks about is this guy’s vision. When he runs the ball, he does not want to be tackled, man. This guy is vicious. I love watching him run…,” Gruden said. “The Missouri Tigers haven’t seen a back like this since James Wilder. My dad coached Wilder. He was a bad [expletive] too.”

The 5-foot-10 Hardy has amassed 462 yards and 5 touchdowns with 8.1 yards per carry this season. Hardy is in his first season with Missouri after playing his first collegiate year at Louisiana-Monroe. In his lone season with the Warhawks, Hardy tallied 1,351 yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground.

Next up for Hardy and Missouri is a home matchup vs. South Carolina in the Mayor’s Cup on Saturday (7 p.m. ET/ESPN).
