Joseph Jonah-Ajonye, elite 2024 4-star DL, announces SEC commitment

Joseph Jonah-Ajonye has found a home in the SEC. The standout defensive lineman from Conroe, Texas announced in a Thursday livestream that he has committed to play for Georgia.

Jonah-Ajonye joins a 2024 Georgia recruiting class that is already ranked No. 1 nationally on the 247Sports Composite. The Bulldogs now have 24 verbal pledges in the class.

An Oak Ridge High School standout, Jonah-Ajonye is listed as measuring 6-4, 275 pounds. On the Composite, Jonah-Ajonye is rated 4-stars, the No. 6 defensive lineman, No. 10 player in the state of Texas and No. 37 prospect overall in the Class of 2024.

More than 30 schools extended scholarship offers to Jonah-Ajonye, including Auburn, LSU, Missouri, Texas and Texas A&M. Heading into Thursday’s decision, Jonah-Ajonye named a final 4 of Georgia, Georgia Tech, Oklahoma and Oregon.

Jonah-Ajonye has made multiple trips to Athens during the offseason months.
