Josh Donaldson is off to a good start in New York. In his first game with the Yankees, Donaldson drove in the game-winning run for a 6-5 Opening Day walk-off victory over the Boston Red Sox.

Donaldson finished 2-for-6 with an RBI in the season opener.

A former Auburn standout, Donaldson made his MLB debut in 2010 with the Oakland Athletics. After a year back at AAA, he returned to Oakland’s major league club in 2012 and has stayed in the big leagues since. Donaldson is a 3-time All-Star (2014-16) and was the AL MVP with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2015. Donaldson has also made stops with Cleveland, Atlanta and Minnesota before landing with the Bronx Bombers this offseason.
