Tennessee’s quarterback situation remains a source of concern, as injuries have plagued the Volunteers at the position in 2021.
Joe Milton started the season opener for Tennessee but was injured against Pittsburgh in Week 2 and replaced by Hendon Hooker.
Hooker, a transfer from Virginia Tech, has played well at times since becoming the starter, but he was forced to leave Saturday’s game at Florida after being sacked in the 4th quarter.
Milton subsequently finished the game at QB despite not being 100 percent according to Vols coach Josh Heupel.
On Monday, during his weekly press conference, Heupel was asked if Hooker would be available for this Saturday’s game at Missouri, and his answer was brief.
“Not sure,” said Heupel, but he did add that Hooker is not in concussion protocol following the big he hit he took against the Gators.

Hooker has passed for 613 yards, 7 touchdowns, and an interception so far this season, while adding 136 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
On the depth chart provided to the media Monday, Milton was listed as the starter for the Missouri game.
