South Carolina’s offensive line depth suffered a big blow on Wednesday morning, and we mean that quite literally.
Coach Will Muschamp announced that JUCO tackle Akeem Cooperwood will not be able to join the Gamecocks’ roster for the 2016 season after an ongoing issue with one of his classes over at Georgia Military College.
Will Muschamp says JUCO OL Akeem Cooperwood, the lone signee #Gamecocks were waiting on academically, will not be with the program.

Cooperwood, who stands at a massive 6-foot-7, 325 pounds, was the No. 13-ranked player at his position among JUCO prospects, serving as the top recruit from the state of Tennessee. He had initially signed with south Carolina on National Signing Day, choosing the Gamecocks over Buffalo, Chattanooga, East Carolina, and Ohio.
