Justin Jefferson joins rare company with latest big game for Vikings

Justin Jefferson and the Minnesota Vikings improved to 4-1 with a 29-22 win over the Chicago Bears in Week 5.
Of course, the 3rd-year pro and former LSU great had his fingerprints all over the game. Although he didn’t record a touchdown catch, he was good for 12 grabs for 154 yards. He also had a 23-yard pass completion to Dalvin Cook.
Sunday marked Jefferson’s 6th career game with at least 150 yards and his 2nd of the season after posting 184 yards in the season opener, a day that saw him become the 4th-fastest player to 200 catches and break the team’s record for receiving yards in a half with 158. With his latest 150-plus yard effort, he joins a short list of players to have 6 such showings through 3 NFL seasons. The others? Lance Alworth and former Vikings legend Randy Moss, both enshrined in Canton.
Considering what Jefferson’s doing on the football field on a regular basis, it’s probably a matter of when, not if, he’ll get his 7th 150-plus yard game this season.
Justin Jefferson has tied Hall of Famers Randy Moss and Lance Alworth for the most games (6) with 150+ receiving yards in a player’s first 3 NFL seasons since at least 1950.#Skol @Vikings @ProFootballHOF
