Kenny Dillingham has done a terrific job since he became the head coach in 2023 at Arizona State. Last season, he led the Sun Devils to a Big 12 championship as well as a berth in the College Football Playoff.

The Sun Devils have had to deal with many injuries this year, but the team moved to 7-3 on the season with a 25-23 victory against West Virginia on Saturday.

Dillingham has heard the rumors that he may be interested in leaving Tempe and taking a different job, and he made an emphatic statement on what his future plans are.

“I was never leaving,”Dillingham said after the game. “I never said I was leaving. This is home.”

One school that Dillingham has had his name linked to is Auburn, as he was the offensive coordinator there in 2019.

In his first year, the Sun Devils finished 3-9 and were at the bottom of the Pac-12 in the conference’s final year.

However, they have had a smooth transition to the Big 12. With the win on Saturday, the Sun Devils are in a 3-team tie for 3rd place in the conference, trailing only Texas Tech and BYU. While they are on the outside looking in, the Sun Devils still have an outside shot of making it to the Big 12 Championship Game if they can close out the regular season with wins at Colorado and against Arizona.
