Kentucky at Louisville midweek baseball game postponed following shooting

Kentucky and Louisville will wait to play their midweek game after Monday’s shooting at a Louisville bank. The shooter killed 4 people before being killed by police. Nine people, including 2 police officers, were treated for injuries. The Associated Press reports that 3 patients have already been discharged.
UL baseball made the postponement announcement on Monday afternoon via its official Twitter account. The game was scheduled for Tuesday in Louisville. The programs came to a mutual decision to reschedule for a later date.
In light of the tragic events in Louisville on Monday, the University of Louisville and University of Kentucky baseball programs have made a mutual decision to postpone Tuesday night’s baseball game at Jim Patterson Stadium.

Kentucky and Louisville have a home-and-home midweek series on the season schedule. The meeting in Lexington is scheduled for April 25 at 7 p.m., airing on the SEC Network.
