Kentucky basketball is starting the 2022-23 season a bit shorthanded.
Oscar Thisebwe, Sahvir Wheeler and Daimion Collins are all sidelined for Monday night’s game against Howard. The absences leave the Wildcats with 8 scholarship players available to face the Bison.
Oscar Tshiebwe (right leg) and Sahvir Wheeler (right leg) are out and are day-to-day. Daimion Collins (personal reasons) is also out.

In his pregame radio comments, Kentucky coach John Calipari expressed optimism that Tshiebwe is getting closer to being able to play.
John Calipari update on Oscar Tshiebwe (to Tom Leach on the pregame radio show): “I think he’s good. I haven’t been paying much attention, because I knew he and Sahvir weren’t going to play. … But hopefully he’s getting closer.” https://t.co/o3LjM2yQqr
