Kentucky beats out several Power 5 programs to land commitment from Florida native Jake Pope
The Wildcats are now up to six commitments for the 2019 recruiting cycle as Florida native Jake Pope announced his pledge to Mark Stoops’ program on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-7, 275-pound Pope is rated as a three-star prospect and the No. 108 offensive tackle in the nation by 247Sports Composite Rankings. The Fort Lauderdale native chose Kentucky over scholarship offers from Michigan State, NC State, Virginia Tech, and UCF among others.
While making his declaration, Pope added this note announcing his plans to play for Big Blue Nation on Twitter:
Pope joins Eli Cox as the only two offensive linemen currently committed to Kentucky’s 2019 recruiting class.
