Two more LSU alumni entered the Pro Football Hall of Fame this weekend as Kevin Mawae and Johnny Robinson joined one of the most exclusive clubs in all of sports as they both were in Canton, Ohio this weekend to receive their gold jackets and reveal their Hall of Fame busts.

With these two players making their way to Canton, LSU has now sent five players to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Mawae played in Baton Rouge from 1990 until 1993, where he was a three-time All-SEC selection. During his collegiate career, he played all three positions along the offensive line for the Tigers and even played some tight end before being cemented as one of the best linemen in the school’s proud history.

Mawae went on to have a 16-year NFL career, where he was an eight-time All-Pro selection and made eight Pro Bowls.

Johnny Robinson was a member of LSU’s 1958 national championship team and also starred on the school’s tennis team during his collegiate career. Following his collegiate career in Baton Rouge, Robinson was drafted by the Dallas AFL franchise, known then as the Texans. The Texans would later move to Kansas City and become the Chiefs during Robinson’s playing career. He went on to become a six-time first-team All-Pro selection and started two Super Bowls for the Chiefs as a safety.
