Kirby Smart provided his thoughts on Mark Stoops’ recent comments regarding Georgia’s NIL tendencies.

Smart merely acknowledged that Stoops is just trying to garner more financial support from the fan base, something that virtually every college football coach is doing nowadays.

“Much to do about nothing really,” Smart said. “I think Mark is trying to garner interest and money from his fan base … We’re all trying to do the same”

When asked about Kentucky’s struggles vs. the elite teams of the SEC, Stoops responded by saying that Georgia “bought some really good players” on his weekly radio show Monday. He fully admitted that Georgia is allowed to do that and called on his fan base to “donate more” in order to enable UK to reach the level of the Bulldogs.

“I encourage anybody that’s disgruntled to pony up some more,” Stoops said. He did also go on to say that fans do have the right to complain about results, but that they are also able to have some level of impact on the makeup of the Kentucky roster nowadays.
