In Kirk Herbstreit’s weekly tweets spotlighting the top five teams and players from the most recent round of games, you can usually expect to see an SEC representative or two.

That was no different following Week 11, when both Tennessee and Georgia running back D’Andre Swift were recognized by the ESPN analyst.

The Volunteers took another huge step forward under first-year coach Jeremy Pruitt with their 24-7 win against No. 11 Kentucky. Tennessee outgained one of college football’s darlings this year 412-262 while moving within one win of guaranteed bowl eligibility.

Swift, meanwhile, racked up 186 yards and a touchdown on just 17 carries, including a game-sealing 77-yard touchdown early in the fourth quarter, against No. 24 Auburn. He also caught four passes for 43 yards as the No. 5 Bulldogs remained in College Football Playoff contention with a 27-10 win victory against their rivals.
