ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit ranks top 5 teams after ‘very volatile’ week 1

ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit ranked the top five teams in the country after a wild week 1.
To put things into perspective, Herbstreit picked Clemson to win the College Football Playoff this season.
Week 1 saw three top 10 teams go down — Oklahoma, LSU and Notre Dame, and it could be an omen for a crazy season ahead.
Herbstreit has Alabama at No. 1 after its 52-6 beatdown against USC, and after calling the FSU-Ole Miss game, Herbstreit came away very impressed with the Seminoles. Clemson (No. 3), Ohio State (No. 4) and Houston (No. 5) rounded out the top five.
Houston arguably had the biggest upset of the week after beating No. 3 Oklahoma 33-23.
