Kirk Herbstreit will be making the flight from Austin to Northern California after ESPN’s “College GameDay” to call Saturday night’s USC-Stanford game on ABC, but he’ll be keeping tabs on what’s happening in Gainesville as Florida hosts Kentucky.
A pair of top 2023 NFL Draft quarterback prospects will be going head-to-head at The Swamp: for Kentucky, it’s Will Levis, while for Florida, it’s Anthony Richardson. Plenty of NFL scouts will undoubtedly be keeping a close eye on the performance of both players.
During “College GameDay,” Herbstreit broke down what he’s seen from both Levis and Richardson after following their college careers thus far.
“I still go back to Levis at Penn State in ’19 when he came in and he was a short-yardage quarterback. He was like a tight end playing quarterback. The amount of growth he has had in Lexington is unbelievable,” he said. “I think he’s way beyond where we see Anthony Richardson. Anthony Richardson might be the most physically talented quarterback in the country, but is he able to be consistent this early in his career? We’ll find out today.”
Kickoff on ESPN is set for 7 p.m. ET.
