Terrible news to share from Texas as former Tennessee defensive back LaDarrell McNeil has passed away at the age of 27.
McNeil started a total of 41 games during his Tennessee career and made 43 total appearances during his time on Rocky Top. During that time, he racked up 219 tackles, five interceptions, defended 14 passes and had two fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles from 2012-2015.
McNeil signed with Tennessee as a four-star recruit in the 2012 recruiting cycle out of Wilmer-Hutchins High School in Dallas, Texas.
Following the tragic news of McNeil’s passing, Tennessee shared the following tweet:
