The Florida Gators are the Orange Bowl champions after holding on to beat Virginia 36-28 in Miami on Monday night.

The MVP award for the game was a no-brainer, as RB Lamical Perine put together a heck of a final game in a Florida uniform.

In the big win, Perine ran for 138 yards, added 43 yards as a receiver and scored 3 total touchdowns to lead the Gator offense.

Here was his first score, a 61-yard gallop through the Cavaliers’ defense:

Perine has had a great Florida career, and it’s nice for Florida fans to see him leave the program on a high note like this.

What a game to end on!
