Lane Kiffin ripped on social media for 4th-quarter decisions in Alabama loss

Lane Kiffin has done an exceptional job at Ole Miss. There’s no denying it.

But in the Rebels’ biggest games, Kiffin hasn’t gotten it done at this point.

And his efforts have often been plagued by questionable decisions, most notably trying to convert curious 4th-down attempts.

That was the case again on Saturday, as Ole Miss lost a heartbreaker at home to Alabama, 30-24.

The Rebels played well enough to win but came up short on a closing drive that could have won the game.

Kiffin’s decision to go for a 4th-and-8 earlier in the 4th quarter when trailing by just 3 was a head scratcher, as were a few of the play calls on the final drive.

College football fans are a fickle bunch and while Kiffin is now 23-10 in his 3rd season at Ole Miss, he was under fire on social media after the game:
