LSU running back Leonard Fournette was named the SEC Freshman of the Week on Monday after his standout performance against Texas A&M on Thanksgiving. Fournette went for a career-high 146 yards last Thursday, scoring a touchdown on a highlight-reel run on which he ran over an A&M defender. Fournette averaged 7.7 yards per carry on the night.

This week marks the third time Fournette has taken home Freshman of the Week honors, with the first two coming against Florida and Ole Miss. For the season, Fournette has 891 yards and 8 touchdowns.
