LOOK: 5-star Georgia commit Nolan Smith tests at the 99th percentile in every measurable category by Nike’s athlete ratings
If you follow recruiting, you know how well Georgia has been doing in recent years. If this weekend’s test results turned in by Nolan Smith are any indication, the best may yet to come for the Dawgs.
Smith, who committed to the Bulldogs back in January of 2017, is rated as a five-star linebacker in the 2019 recruiting cycle. He’s considered the No. 5 overall prospect in the nation and the No. 3 weakside defensive end per 247Sports Composite Rankings. He’s set to embark on his senior season of high school football at IMG Academy this fall before signing with Georgia.
During his recent appearance at Nike’s The Opening Atlanta regional testing, Smith basically destroyed the testing measurements of the apparel company. He registered in the 99th percentile of every measurable category: 40-yard dash, vertical jump, peak power, agility and power ball.
The Opening’s official Twitter account recently shared Smith’s results from over the weekend:

Those numbers are pretty incredible and would likely beat many of the players currently testing out for NFL scouts and general managers in hopes of hearing their name called in the upcoming NFL Draft.
So what’s the secret to testing so well? Smith joked that his Lululemon pants played a helping hand it keeping him warm in the cold weather.
It was 37 degrees this morning, and I would like to thank @lululemon for making great pants… pic.twitter.com/Qfy6Gy6ufW

Whatever it is that gets Smith to perform at such an incredible level, if he keeps it up, it won’t be long before he shows up in Athens and likely quickly jumps onto the field. Despite the talent that’s already on hand for Georgia, few, if any, of the Bulldogs could likely match these numbers.
