LOOK: Florida State’s attendance is abysmal the day after Jimbo Fisher left for Texas A&M

It hasn’t been a great season for the Florida State Seminoles. The team has struggled its way to a 5-6 record and just lost head coach Jimbo Fisher to Texas A&M.

The school rescheduled an earlier game that was affected by a hurricane for Saturday to try to pick up a sixth win and gain bowl eligibility, but fans don’t seem to be too thrilled by that prospect.

As you can see in the photo below, Doak Campbell Stadium was quite empty for Saturday afternoon’s game against Louisiana-Monroe:

The student section’s attendance was especially abysmal, with the entire area of the stadium nearly empty:

So, just how bad is FSU’s attendance today? Reporter Matt Baker tried to put it in perspective for fans:

The fan base is going to need a boost this offseason in the form of an exciting hire to replace Fisher. If the Seminoles don’t turn things around next year, this sort of attendance may start to happen more often.
