Paul Finebaum and Laura Rutledge of the SEC Network interviewed Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts on Tuesday on ESPN2.
They discussed the No. 1 Crimson Tide’s undefeated start, how talented the Alabama running backs are, and even Hurts’ reaction to coach Nick Saban’s “rat poison” comments, which he said he agreed with.
Then Rutledge turned the conversation to Hurts’ hair, and she asked how long it takes him to work on his hair in the morning. Hurts replied that he “woke up like this,” a nod to lyrics from Beyonce song. Before Rutledge could educate Finebaum on the Beyonce song, Hurts interjected that “Paul wishes he had this hair.”
Finebaum laughed it off, and added that the conversation was going well until Hurts dropped a “slam dunk” about his hair.
Rutledge and Finebaum later closed the show with a quick Photoshop from the graphics department and gave credit where it’s due.
