Following the program’s huge season-opening 24-7 win over Florida State Saturday night in Atlanta, Alabama got some devastating news Sunday afternoon — defenders Christian Miller and Terrell Lewis were lost for the season due to injuries.

While the big win came at a cost no young man should have to pay, sometimes it’s not what happens to you that matters, it’s how you react to it. Thus far, it appears the sophomore Lewis has taken to the news as well as can be expected.

Just hours after the news was first reported, Lewis sent out this message of encouragement to his fans and well-wishers.

We wish him a speedy and healthy recovery as he will soon be rehabbing his way back to the field for the Crimson Tide.
