LSU will welcome back four members of its 2011 SEC Championship team as guest captains for Saturday’s contest against the visiting Mississippi State Bulldogs.
Those former players include T-Bob Hebert, Will Blackwell, Brandon Taylor and Jordan Jefferson.
The Bulldogs are slight favorites going into this game with a perfect 2-0 record while the Tigers sit at 1-1 after getting their first win of the season when they blasted the Southern Jaguars, 65-17 on Saturday. It was a good way to bounce back after the team dropped the season-opener in what was an abysmal offensive showing, 24-23 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
LSU and Mississippi State are set to kick off at 5 p.m. CT on. Saturday in Tiger Stadium. This game should serve as a solid measuring stick as to where both programs are in what marks the opening of SEC play for both teams.
