Boutte, who recently became a father for the first time, was an All-America candidate going into the season, but he has struggled to get involved in LSU offense. He has just 11 receptions for 97 yards with no touchdowns this season.
Will naming the talented junior an offensive captain in the biggest game of the season to date be what Boutte needs to turn things around this season?
LSU will host No. 8 Tennesseee at Tiger Stadium on Saturday at noon ET. ESPN will handle the broadcast.
