LSU freshman defensive back Derek Stingley Jr. leads the Tigers with four interceptions this season. With his fourth pick against Auburn on Saturday, Stingley earned some air time during ESPN’s segment ‘You Got Mossed.’
Every week, ESPN runs the segment either during its pregame shows Sunday NFL Countdown or Monday Night Countdown. The segment, which usually features Randy Moss as a narrator, showcases a player jumping over another to make an incredible catch. That’s something Moss did plenty of during his career, and ESPN has turned his last name into a verb to describe the action.
Before the Pittsburgh Steelers hosted the Miami Dolphins on Monday, ESPN showed where Stingley “mossed” Auburn wide receiver Seth Williams. Watch the clip below:

It’s quite unusual for a cornerback to be the one performing the “mossing” but then again, Stingley isn’t a “usual” player. He’s been displaying his special talent all season with four picks and nine pass breakups in eight games.
