The LSU Tigers have fallen out of the top-15 in both the Amway Coaches Poll and Associated Press Top 25 poll after suffering a 34-29 defeat at the hands of the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

In the AP Top 25, LSU fell nine spots to No. 17, while it was a 10-spot drop for Les Miles’ squad in the Coaches Poll, all the way to No. 18.

LSU’s loss to Mississippi State was just the Tigers’ fourth loss in a night game at Tiger Stadium under Miles. Furthermore, the Bulldogs’ victory over LSU was even more shocking as it snapped a 14-game losing streak in the SEC West rivalry series.
