Jones spent 2 seasons in Baton Rouge after his time at Clemson, transferring in the summer of 2021. He was named a permanent team captain prior to the 2022 season.
He played in 27 games at LSU, starting 9 of them. In 2 seasons as a Tiger, Jones recorded 55 tackles and 3 tackles-for-loss. He was known for his versatility, playing all 3 linebacker positions as well as nickel back during his collegiate career.
Jones played 29 games at Clemson, starting 7 of them. During his first stint as a Tiger in the ACC, Jones had 47 tackles, 8 tackles-for-loss, a half sack and 2 interceptions.
Jones is from Nashville, so he’s made his way around the South during his young life. And now he’ll be joining LSU’s staff under Brian Kelly for the 2025 season, coaching in the place where he just recently played.
