LSU has gained a commitment from a 2025 recruit who is very familiar with the program already.

Brett Bordelon, an offensive tackle at Isidore Newman School in New Orleans, announced his pledge to the Tigers on Wednesday. If the last name Bordelon rings a bell to Tigers fans, that’s because his father, Ben, is a former LSU offensive lineman and was an All-SEC selection in 1996. He also spent a pair of seasons in the NFL with the then-San Diego Chargers after signing with them in 1997. Not only that, but Brett’s brother, Bo is a member of the LSU program, a former 3-star recruit from the class of 2022.

The younger Bordelon just wrapped up his sophomore season at Newman, where he was a teammate of Texas-bound Arch Manning. Although 2025 is still several years away, it appears that the 6-foot-4, 260-pound offensive lineman has his mind made up as to where he’ll be suiting up once college rolls around thanks to some existing family ties.
