That player is 4-star defensive end prospect Jarell Cherry, who tweeted out his commitment to the program on Saturday with a long message thanking those who have helped him along the way.

Cherry, who plays for Carter High School in Dallas, is the 13th commitment for LSU, which currently has the No. 4 recruiting class in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Cherry is rated the No. 7 weakside defensive end prospect in the Class 0f 2018 by the 247Sports Composite.
