Ani Izuchukwu is only a freshman in high school, but that didn’t stop LSU from becoming the first school to offer him a scholarship.

While he may be a freshman, he certainly has the frame of a senior, standing at 6-foot-4 and 230 pounds. Izuchukwu is out of Davidson Academy in Nashville, Tenn., and plays weakside defensive end but will likely still explore to find his best fit on defense.

LSU hasn’t been shy to offer prospects at a young age. The Tigers offered the No. 1 overall recruit for 2017, Dylan Moses, when he was in eighth grade before Moses eventually de-committed.
