LSU’s new football operations center is in the works.

The program unveiled some renderings of the facility makeover on Thursday, and announced that it’s expected to be completed prior to the 2019 season.

The updates for the new ops center will feature:

  • New nutritional facility for all student-athletes that will facilitate education and foster physical and mental wellness through nutrition
  • New lobby entrance to include LSU Football Hall of Fame
  • New LSU Experience Room will offer an immersive experience into LSU Football

The facility will get an extra 25,000 square feet added on. The entire renovation is being funded by the Tiger Athletic Foundation.

In the year that it takes to renovate, the football staff is expected to move to the third floor of the new south end zone addition at Tiger Stadium until construction is completed before the start of the 2019 season.
