LSU is finally ready to open up Tiger Stadium for the 2024 home opener. It will be the first home game for the 100th year of the iconic venue, and fans will be greeted by some high-end upgrades when they arrive.
Ahead of the weekend, LSU released a special video highlighting some of the new upgrades to the scoreboard and lighting systems inside Death Valley. The sound system has also been upgraded.
The video especially showcases the new LED lighting system and some of the capabilities of the upgrades. It includes synchronized options for the lights and the ability to show purple lights when desired.
The scoreboard is the other key aspect of the upgrades with a larger video board included increased functions for the Tigers. The upgrades should be great additions to the game day experience, and fans will get their first look this Saturday with a 7:30 pm ET kickoff scheduled.

LSU opened the season with another disappointing early loss in a marquee game. Losing to USC 27-20 in Las Vegas dropped Brian Kelly to 0-3 in season openers with the Tigers, something he would undoubtedly like to turn around.
The good news is a Week 2 matchup against Nicholls — and the rest of the September schedule — should provide LSU with a positive stretch to find some momentum moving forward.
