Maason Smith, star LSU DL, appears to injure knee celebrating big play

Maason Smith went down with an injury for LSU during the first quarter against FSU.
Smith was oddly celebrating a big defensive play that he was a part of, and he went down holding what appeared to be his knee. Smith had to be helped off the field to the sideline, and after briefly entering the injury tent, Smith headed to the locker room.
Obviously, if LSU’s defense loses Smith for the remainder of the game, it would be a huge void in the middle of the Tigers defense.
As you can see below, Smith blew up the play in the middle of the defensive line. He was then jumping to celebrate the unit’s big play, and he went down with an injury.

Hopefully, for Smith and LSU, this isn’t a major injury and he can return to the field.
