North Carolina was pegged as a top-10 team heading into the season, but things haven’t gone to plan for the Tar Heels, who lost at home to struggling Florida State on Saturday, 35-25.

Mack Brown’s team is now just 3-3 on the season and certainly has to rank as one of the nation’s biggest disappointments.

So who should take the heat for UNC’s struggles?

After the loss to the Seminoles, Brown surprisingly pointed to the media.

“My expectation is to win every game, so three times we’ve met it and three times we haven’t,” Brown said. “The national media expectation, the expectation for us to be a top-10 team, were wrong. So I guess we should all be critical of the media for picking us that high.”

A curious take for sure from the North Carolina head man, whose team will look to get back on track at home against Miami next Saturday.
