Mark May, Lou Holtz make score predictions for SEC Championship Game

The SEC Championship Game will feature defending national champion Georgia vs. LSU. College football experts Mark May and Lou Holtz don’t think the Tigers will have a Cinderella tale on Saturday.
Georgia finished the regular season with an unblemished 12-0 mark behind its dominant defense. Georgia held opponents to 20 points or less 10 times this season.
Meanwhile, LSU is 9-3 after getting upset on the road by Texas A&M in the regular season finale. However, merely reaching the conference title game in the first season under Brian Kelly is an extremely positive first step in the rebuilding process.
#LSU vs #Georgia: @GeorgiaFootball is just so well rounded on both sides of the ball. I expect them to continue their solid play and win easily. I’ve got Georgia over LSU, 44-17 @TheCrowdsLine #SEC pic.twitter.com/nnvwsUHuiW

May expects Georgia to cruise to the victory and cover the spread by a score of 44-17.
“I’ve still got Georgia winning this game handily. They’re just going to run over LSU,” May said. “I think late in the game you’ll find a couple cheap touchdowns by Georgia at the end of the game.”
Holtz is predicting Georgia to win 27-17 and owned up to his prior doubts about quarterback Stetson Bennett.
“I think Georgia is such a complete football team. You can talk about the running backs and defense. You can talk about the coaching. You can talk about the success,” Holtz said. “But the fact that I think Stetson Bennett, is an individual I was never real high on before. I felt that he really wasn’t the best quarterback for Georgia but they thought he was and he proved that to be true.”
Georgia-LSU is slated for a 4 p.m. ET kickoff from Atlanta and will be televised on CBS.
