Mark Stoops reveals who got the game ball after Kentucky’s win over Mississippi State

Kentucky snapped a two-game losing skid Saturday with a 27-17 win over Mississippi State at Kroger Field.
The Wildcats scored 24 second-half points to secure the win. With starting quarterback Will Levis still a laboring from his foot injury, the game was put in the hands of running back Chris Rodriguez Jr. and an offensive line that has taken some criticism this season.
That might have crossed Mark Stoops’ mind when the Kentucky head coach decided to hand out a game ball.
Kentucky HC Mark Stoops told Tom Leach on the postgame show that he typically doesn't like to give out game balls because it's such a team sport, but he gave one to Chris Rodriguez (196 yards, 2 TD) tonight. "He turned around and give it to the O-Line," Stoops said.

Rodriguez had a monster night and it was, by far, the best the Kentucky running game has looked all season. The senior running back has also probably heard the criticism levied on his guys up front and he rightfully wanted to share the wealth.
Good win for the Kentucky Wildcats after a few slips. They will get a week to recover before traveling the Neyland Stadium on October 29.
