Florida wide receiver Antonio Callaway is “doubtful” to play in the Gators’ upcoming Week 3 contest against North Texas, according to coach Jim McElwain.

Callaway “wasn’t himself” during Tuesday’s practice and then was limited to just a few drills during Wednesday’s practice after sustaining a quadriceps injury during the 45-7 win over Kentucky last Saturday, where finished with a career-high 129 receiving yards, including a 78-yard touchdown reception.

At this point, it seems unlikely that the star sophomore will receive significant playing time this weekend, if any. That shouldn’t worry fans, though; the Gators enter the game as massive, 36-point favorites over their C-USA counterparts.
Two games in, Callaway leads Florida with 13 receptions for 201 yards and two touchdowns.
