Melvin Hills is getting closer to a final decision.

Hills announced his top 5 on Tuesday afternoon, and he included 4 SEC programs in his announcement: LSU, Tennessee, Auburn and Ole Miss. Texas, who will be joining the SEC in 2024, is the 5th and final team.

Here’s his announcement:

Hills is a 3-star prospect in the class of 2024. He’s the No. 674 overall player and the No. 67 defensive lineman in the country, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 20 player from the state of Louisiana.

He attends Lafayette Christian Academy in Lafayette, Louisiana. He’s listed at 6-foot-3, 270 pounds.

Hills took official visits to both Ole Miss and Texas during the month of June. It’s unclear if he intends to visit his other finalists prior to making a commitment.
