South Carolina’s receiving corps could be shorthanded again this Saturday against Georgia.

On Sunday night, Gamecocks interim head coach Mike Bobo shared updates on wide receivers Shi Smith and Dakereon Joyner during his teleconference, according to David Cloninger of The Post and Courier. Smith, who left Saturday’s 17-10 loss to Missouri, is currently in the concussion protocol, which will determine his status for this week’s game. Joyner missed the loss to the Tigers with an undisclosed injury, and he’s again questionable for this week’s matchup.

Smith has been having a solid senior season for South Carolina. He has 54 receptions for 605 yards and four touchdowns through the Gamecocks’ first eight games.

Joyner hasn’t been too involved in South Carolina’s offense during his redshirt sophomore season, recording three receptions for 12 yards.

Bobo also shared that he doesn’t expect injured sophomore wide receiver Xavier Legette to play again this season. Legette has missed the past two games due to injury.

Redshirt senior defensive lineman Keir Thomas is also questionable for Saturday’s game, per Bobo.

South Carolina and Georgia are set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday on SEC Network.
