Mississippi State adds commitment from 4-star TE out of Alabama

Mississippi State landed a big addition to its 2024 recruiting class over the weekend. A blue-chip tight end out of Alabama announced Sunday that he has verbally pledged to MSU over other SEC offers.
JaCorey Whitted is the newest Bulldog commitment. He announced the big news Sunday afternoon on social media.

A standout of McAdory High School in McCalla, Alabama, Whitted is listed as measuring over 6-5 and 253 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Whitted is rated 4-stars, the No. 20 recruit in the state of Alabama, No. 21 tight end and No. 377 prospect overall in the Class of 2024.
Mississippi State was the first school to extend a scholarship offer to Whitted, getting involved in May 2022. He has picked up scholarship offers from 13 schools during his recruitment. In July, Whitted named Mississippi State in his top 6 along with Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Tennessee and Arkansas State.
