Well, it looks like the Mississippi State Bulldogs are headed to the Twin Cities.
It was announced via Mississippi State’s official football Twitter page that a home-and-home series versus Minnesota has been agreed to.
The first installment of the two-pronged contest will be in 2026, at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The return game will be the following year in Starkville:

The two programs have never faced each other. In fact, Mississippi State hasn’t played a Big Ten opponent in the regular season since 1980 — when MSU beat Illinois.
It’s rather rare to see the Bulldogs’ football program travel to this portion of the country. This could help in offering more exposure to the program. Additionally, it’d extend the Mississippi State recruiting footprint even further into another region.
