Another season of Missouri basketball is set to tip off Nov. 9. And the Tigers will get to open the new campaign in front of their fans at home.
In fact, Mizzou is going to be home quite a bit to begin the 2021-22 season. On Wednesday, the Tigers announced their non-conference schedule for the upcoming campaign, which starts with a trio of home matchups against Central Michigan (Nov. 9), UMKC (Nov. 15) and Northern Illinois (Nov. 18).
Missouri will later play notable matchups against Kansas (Dec. 11) and Illinois (Dec. 22), a pair of typically strong programs. The Tigers will also face Iowa State on Jan. 29 as part of the Big 12/SEC Challenge.
Here’s a look at Mizzou’s full non-conference slate:

Missouri is coming off a 2020-21 season in which it started strong but had some struggles down the stretch. The Tigers won 13 of their first 16 games and seemed to be heading toward a strong March.
However, Mizzou ended the regular season with 5 losses in 7 games, then lost in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament before going on to fall against Oklahoma in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
While the 2021-22 non-conference slate is now set for the Tigers, the SEC schedule has yet to be announced. So Mizzou won’t know its full slate of games for the upcoming season until a later date.
