Mizzou announces fans won’t rush the field in 2025 due to SEC policy

As Missouri aims to continue the momentum built from the last 2 seasons, the program is implementing rules that will enforce an act like you’ve been there approach when it comes to the fans.
As part of the SEC’s policy, Missouri fans will no longer be permitted to rush the field. Doing so will result in a $500,000 fine by the SEC which directly goes to the opposing team. There’ll be cameras in the stadium to identify any fans who break the rules and they could be trespassed from campus, fined, suspended or expelled.

The Missouri athletic department concluded its statement with the hope that fans can find other ways to celebrate within reason.
Together, we can build an atmosphere of passion and pride that doesn’t put anyone at risk or give away what we have earned. We’re looking forward to a great season of Mizzou Football. Let’s celebrate loudly, proudly, and together – in the stands.
Missouri went 11-2 in 2023 and 10-3 last season under Eli Drinkwitz. The Tigers have never had 3 consecutive double-digit victory seasons, so there’s certainly a lofty goal to strive for.
Missouri begins the 2025 season at home against Central Arkansas on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. (SEC Network).
