Mizzou makes changes at quarterback amid offensive struggles

The Kansas State defense could hardly look as formidable as it has on Saturday against Missouri as the Wildcats’ 3-3-5 scheme has been successful in rattling not one, but two of team’s quarterbacks.

The Tigers headed into the contest with starting quarterback Brady Cook taking the snaps, but after some turnover issues and ill-advised decision on top of Cook being banged up, head coach Eli Drinkwitz gave Jack Abraham a shot to take the reins with roughly two minutes to go in the third quarter.

The former Mississippi State signal-caller started things off with an errant pass to start things off and was intercepted after a tipped pass by one of his own as the Tigers continued to get in their own way. The situation declined fro there as Abraham threw another interception, at that point making four of Mizzou’s past five throws interceptions.

Cook re-entered the game around the 12:00 mark. With this type of back-and-forth, there are bound to be plenty of questions surrounding the quarterback position as Missouri moves forward and prepares to face ACU next week.

With the game winding down, Cook has completed 14-of-23 passes for 119 yards without a touchdown and two interceptions. Abraham has two interceptions as Kansas State leads 33-6.
