Mizzou’s 2022 baseball season just came to an end, with the Tigers failing to qualify for the SEC Tournament in Hoover that begins on Tuesday.

Ahead of the 2023 season, though, the Tigers will have a key staff position to fill.

As you can see below, pitching coach Mitch Plassmeyer announced via Twitter that he was joining the Baltimore Orioles’ organization as a minor league pitching coordinator:

Plassmeyer joined the Tigers’ staff ahead of 2021. He was the director of player development last year before moving to the pitching coach role this past season.

Mizzou’s staff ERA was 5.58 in 2022, which ranked 12th out of 14 SEC teams.
