It’s been rough going for the Nebraska Cornhuskers at the start of the 2022 season. The team is in the midst of a head coaching search after parting ways with Scott Frost when the team dropped to 0-2 with a 45-42 loss to Georgia Tech in Week 2.
Mickey Joseph, who spent time at LSU previously, is the interim head coach for now and should be considered in the mix for the more permanent position. But with the search in swing, there are plenty of names flying around and no shortage of speculation.
Recently, Nebraska fans chanted ‘We Want Urban’ while they were calling for Urban Meyer. That wasn’t exactly met well, which is not surprising given how disastrous Meyer’s short stint with the Jacksonville Jaguars was and some of the negative connotations that have surrounded the coach’s name over recent history.

It will be interesting to see who Nebraska’s next head coach will be, but it would be nothing short of shocking if it were Meyer on the sidelines.
