One of the biggest changes LSU interim coach Ed Orgeron has made since taking over for Les Miles on Sept. 25 is shortening practices and putting more emphasis on film study.
But just because those practices are shorter doesn’t mean they aren’t intense.
Talked to a scout who was at LSU this week. Coach O ran 1s v. 1s. "Most spirited practice I've been to all fall. An incredible practice."

Orgeron has revitalized the program since Miles’ firing, most notably getting former players more involved and tweaking preparation schedules. The high-energy Louisiana has appeared to have that effect on his players as well.
The Tigers blew out Missouri 42-7 in his first game as interim before seeing their trip to Florida cancelled due to Hurricane Matthew. We’ll see if his retooled practices continue to carry over into games when LSU hosts Southern Miss at 7:30 p.m. ET Saturday.
