Nick Bolton, not that long ago, was a star linebacker for the Missouri Tigers. But, since getting drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft, he’s taken his talents a couple of hours down I-70 to Kansas City.
Now, though, the Chiefs are in Arizona ahead of Super Bowl LVII, which they’ll play on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.
On Tuesday, Bolton was asked if he ever thought he’d be at a Super Bowl when he was playing at Mizzou:
Watch: I asked Chiefs linebacker and #Mizzou alum Nick Bolton if he ever thought he'd be here, part of Opening Night of the Super Bowl, when he was playing on Faurot Field just a few short years ago.

“Being from Mizzou as well, we’ve got a lot of good guys out there who come out (to the NFL) every single year,” Bolton said. “Being one of those guys, playing in this game, I know it’s huge. It’s huge for Columbia, University of Missouri, the whole state of Missouri.”
Bolton will need to be at his best to slow down Jalen Hurts and the Eagles’ offense on Sunday. This season, Bolton recorded 180 total tackles to lead the Chiefs.
