Nick Saban opened Week 6’s postgame press conference praising his team for the effort it showed against Texas A&M, especially in the first half.

As a whole, Saban was satisfied with Saturday’s performance. At least, that’s how he conveyed it. However, he still feels this Tide team can be so much better and preached that self-inflicted wounds are keeping Alabama from where it wants to be through Week 6.

Interestingly, Saban also told reporters that Saturday may have broken a record in terms of “messing up and still winning.”

The Tide did play far from a perfect game Saturday. Texas A&M jumped out to an early lead at Kyle Field, but a strong 2nd half from Alabama, especially defensively, turned the tide in Alabama’s favor.
